Here is the finished piece and the detail shot for this project. Click to view in detail. I used lots of mediums and techniques in this piece. The background is different colors of tissue paper, glued with Mod-Podge to get that glossy finish. The sea floor is acrylic on drawing paper, along with the other shapes on the bottom of the piece and some of the seaweed. The green seaweed is various colors of ink on drawing paper, cut out to look like seaweed. Ink is used in a lot of the shells and rocks scattered on the floor. The blue clam shell is lino-cut shapes on paper. The turtle is Prismacolor pencils on drawing paper. I had to illustrate my feelings for my piece. I decided to do a coral reef, since it's different. I constantly have different thoughts and feelings about things that happen, so I thought that the coral reef was a good way to portray those feelings.
