This is the work of Craig Burrows, a photographer who is exploring and working with ultraviolet induced visible fluorescence. The technique he uses is pretty simple to wrap your head around; he takes UV lights and shines them near animals and plants to "excite" their fluorescence, thus producing the result above. Burrows is based in Southern California, and is particularly interested in taking "alternative-light photography".These photographs drew me in because they are very vibrant and bright. I had never seen this type of photography before in my life and it caught my attention from the very beginning. The plants shown in this series are particularly interesting and inspiring because they fueled my curiosity about the technique that Burrows uses and other photo series quite like these. I would like to try this style of art out someday, I think it would be so much fun and would produce an enticing result! You can find Craig on Instagram @cpburrowsphoto and on his website: http://www.cpburrows.com/ .
